The Concept

Beneath the wide and shimmering waves of the Fijian tropics lays a tranquil paradise. The sea fan, a soft coral that dances and twists with the flow of it’s current, is just one of thousands of species that live there.

These invertebrates are marvels beneath the ocean’s surface for their beautiful and supple movement. I was inspired to incorporate them into my design, using the colors of the ocean, to not only signify their iconic structure but also their majestic movements within the seas internal waves.

Presentation

I created this presentation board with a specifically named color family to place emphasis on the importance that color had within the concept and design.

Coming To Life

to UnderFoot AZ for facilitating and sponsoring this yearly competition, to the designers that contributed their vote, and to my Color Design professor, Rachel Simmons, for guiding me through and demonstrating how to effectively utilize color theory to create
